MIDS
SurCom International BV is the in country ViaSat MIDS LVT I-Level Maintenance secured Facility,for Terminals which are used by the customer on different platforms.
To qualify the MIDS Terminal, SurCom International BV is using Special Test Equipment (STE) necessary for integration, test and Support of MIDS LVT Terminals consist of the following :
- Acceptance Test Procedure (ATP), used for Confidence Test and Functional ATP
- Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) temperature test station
The combination of high level Special Test Equipment and special designed
Acceptance Test Program software will decrease the lead and Turn Around Time of
a MIDS LVT.
The ATP station can be used for Terminal troubleshooting, full terminal testing,
acceptance and qualification testing, software verification testing, Link 16 voice
testing, situation display and scenario generation, recording and analyze
capability, simulation and network management capability.
MIDS Terminals will also be tested in SurCom's Test facility under extreme
conditions on the Environmental Stress Screening station.

Personnel of SurCom International BV are certified to operate the ATP Station, ESS Station, LEGS, ARMS, TOES and LiFT Software.
SurCom International BV designed a Link-16 Mobile Test Station in a deployable Hardigg case for laboratory MIDS terminal screening and to provide on site support as certified Field Service Engineer on request of the customer for each MIDS terminal.
Upon request of the customer SurCom International can also support integration of MIDS equipment on site or built special customized applications.
